The Story
Long ago, the world left them behind.
Yet unbeknownst even to the biotech firm that froze them, they survived — only to awaken in present-day America.
Now hidden in a secret facility by that same firm, they struggle to make sense of the modern world — and to live with each other.
At the center is Dr. Nathan Black, a 30-year-old black gay man and the estranged son of the notorious family of black mad scientists behind the firm.
As Nathan tries to uncover the truth about “the catastrophe,” he clashes with the new head of the biotech empire — his stepmother, Dr. Brenda Black, a villainess in heels with her own secrets and agenda.

“Outstanding! My only complaint about this book is that it kept me up late into the night — ‘just one more chapter.’ Rich, diverse, layered page turner.”
